LOFOB Blind Buddy Day

During April and May, we focus our attention on increasing the awareness around blindness and its impact. Our staff and volunteers visit schools and companies to present awareness and sensitization sessions. These sessions highlight the challenges blind and visually impaired persons encounter in society.

Our month of activities culminates in LOFOB's Blind Buddy Day™ on the last Friday of May.

People are invited to show solidarity with blind or visually impaired people by wearing an official Blind Buddy Day™ sticker on that day.

In the past, we've received support from:

  • -Companies
  • -Schools
  • -Community Based Organizations
  • -Institutions
  • -The faith-based community

How to Participate:

Show support and solidarity by

  • -Attending work or school wearing dark glasses or shades
  • -Having your students participate in our Blind Buddy Day™ nationwide colour-in competition (school must purchase BBD stickers to participate)
  • -Hosting an awareness of blindness programme
  • -Arranging a cafeteria lunch where participants are blind-folded
  • -Sponsoring Blind Buddy Day™
  • -Wearing a Blind Buddy Day™ sticker
